3 Density Construction is an asymmetric layout of different densities of material in the shell. Stiffer plastic on the inside edge of the shell transmits energy to the ski edge, while softer material in other areas allows for a more forgiving fit. The boot is very easy to get in and out of, but the power transmitted to the ski is impressive.
UltraFit liner is specifically designed to fit a ladies foot, with a snugger over all fit. This liner uses the most advanced materials to maximize heel hold and foot envelopment while still offering unequaled comfort. The Attiva liner materials are aslo selected to also offer maximum warmth. A Primaloft insulated foot bed and toe box make this one of the warmest boots available. Velvet fur lining in the shaft of the boot also adds additional warmth.
Heel Cradle wedge is added to the foot board under the liner, elevating the heel slightly, reducing volume in the heel area. This results in a more balanced position on the ski for most women, while at the same time keeping the heel pocket just a bit snugger for narrow heels.
Velcro rear spoiler can be moved up, down, or taken out completely to customize the upper shaft area of the boot to fit leg size and shape.
Calf Adapter upper cuff is designed to fit the physiology of a women’s leg. A V-shaped stretch panel allows the top of the cuff to better adapt to various leg sizes and shapes. The very top of the liner is flared, further enhancing the fit for hard-to-fit calves. At the back of the liner, a scalloped shape reduces the overall height of the boot, making the fit even more versatile.
Dual Cuff Alignment is very easy to use and very effective. Adjusting the upper cuff to the shape of the leg is the best way to ensure your skis are flat on the snow to maximize edge to edge response, and power.
35 mm Velcro Powestrap keeps the boot close to the leg, without the elastic action found on the Dragon 120 and 110. The boot will feel less springy, but offer a slightly more forgiving feel than the stiffer Dragon models that have the UltraFlex powerstrap.
Magnesium alloy Buckles are extremely low profile. Keeping the buckle closer to the shell reduces breakage, ensuring that your V80s will give many years of great fit and performance.
AVS Grip sole has a softer material molded into the heel of the boot absorbs vibration, while offering enhanced walking traction on slippery surfaces.
Flex Adjustment allows for two position changes of the forward flex of the boot, tools free.
Hinged Instep catch pivots out of the way as your foot slides into the boot. This hinging action also allows the buckle to better distribute pressure over the top of the foot for a more comfortable, snugger fit in this critical area.
