Tyrolia exclusive Diagonal heel – The only heel that releases in any other direction than straight up. Even when your skis are crossed, or one ski is trapped under an obstacle, the heel can allow the boot to release in a forward twisting direction. Also very easy to get your boot into in deep snow.
ABS (Anti Blocking System) mechanical AFD – The toe rest under the boot is a sort of conveyer belt that moves laterally with the boot as the binding absorbs shock, or as it releases. Friction between the boot sole and binding is minimized, and safety is less compromised by boot sole wear or contamination.
Very rigid frame - the connection between boot and ski is very important, and the stiffness of this 15 DIN binding helps link the ski and boot together as one.
Full Diagonal toe - The toe piece can release in any direction from horizontal to vertical. Additional protection in backward falls is important when skiing in unpredictable conditions.
Pincer design toe piece with roller bearings - Four roller bearings where the boot contacts the toe pincers to control friction. Pincer design with low friction roller interface allows the toe to absorb shock, and return to center very quickly. Friction that results from forward pressure of the boot into the toe piece is reduced by the roller bearings, allowing the binding to quickly absorb shocks and also to release smoothly when necessary.
DIN range is 5 to 15 - which is virtually any aggressive skier. This toe and heel is inspired by the binding used in World Cup Racing. No way you will run out of spring tension here, with a maxiumum DIN setting of 15. Very lightweight, but super durable.
