The Sheeva 11 is the widest  model in the newer Sheeva group of ladies skis from Blizzard, and remains one of the premier ladies powder skis on the market.  Building on the success of the original Sheeva that was both Ski of the Year, and Best Value Ski of the Year (that had never happened), the Sheeva name now resides on three different Blizzard models with three different side cut shapes.  The Sheeva 11 is for the lady who skis primarily off trail, or is looking for a ski that will come out only on the big pow days.

After an intensive prototyping and testing process, Blizzard Freeride Sheeva models debuted with a new shape, new materials, and a new construction.  These are the most thoroughly tested new skis ever offered by Blizzard, and perhaps by any ski company ever.  At every possible sector of the ski world, Blizzard solicited critical input, and sought as much as possible to satisfy these very diverse needs of today's skiers.  Extreme skiers, instructors, shop employees, and of course, customers who would be buying these new models.  For the skier who is off trail oriented, there has never been a series of skis as carefully conceived and engineered to meet those needs.

Sheeva 11 offers amazing performance in deep snow performance with easy, feather light handling.  With an all new, progressive rocker profile with additional slow rise rocker at tip and tail, this new shape ensures excellent flotation, but also outstanding stability at speed with a good amount of camber underfoot.  The additional early rise rocker at the tail gives the Sheeva 11 a more playful, easy feel in deeper snow.  And, an all new D.R.T. Titanal component offers softer torsional stiffness at the tip and tail for additional forgiveness in deeper snow, but with higher torsional stiffness in the center of the ski for maximum stability and control on groomers and run outs.

The Sheeva 11 Women's Specific Design (WSD), Carbon Flip Core construction starts with a very lightweight Multi Layer wood core (poplar, beech, balsa, and paulownia laminates) which adds turn to turn rebound energy with a very light weight feel.  After the core is milled into its tapered shape (thinner on the ends, thicker in the center), it is flipped over when placed into the mold.  This puts the core under tension, in a loaded position, and adds rebound to the ski.  A single Titanal component on top of the wood core is shaped to concentrate the benefits of metal in the center of the ski, for power, edge hold and stability.  The shape of the Titanal layer narrows towards the extremities of the ski, ending before it reaches the tip and tail.  This makes the swing weight very low, while softening the ski torsionally at the ends for a softer, surfier feel in deep snow.  Carbon reinforced layers above and below the wood core add additional snap/rebound to the ski, and more layers at the tip and tail, combined with an anti-shock layer, quiet the rockered ends of the ski to further enhance stability and control vibration, while adding only a very small amount of weight.

Blizzard says - "Light and playful, yet stable and confidence inspiring, the Sheeva 11, with Carbon Flipcore D.R.T Technology, a women's specific design and a progressive shape and rocker profile, is the answer for lady shredders of all types seeking the ultimate powder ski. Ski better and have more fun while seeking out those special, pristine untracked stashes on the mountain."
